Bespoke Lockets
Origami Owl put a new spin on an old idea that became trendy in jewelry --glass lockets designed to hold a custom assortment of keepsake charms. But that was the easy part. As director of the research, development and design team my mission was in part to help define the design language for the jewelry by creating a system of interchangeable SKUs that would allow the customer to swap out locket features and enhancements, creating tens of thousands of different possible bespoke combinations. By mapping out a DFM standard of planned modular features as part of the design language, we produced all kinds of beautiful items to interchange one with another, creating the Origami Owl jewelry system.
